Introducing : The Welcome Party. A night dedicated to British RnB and Soul with Boadi and The Banku Powers set to headline the launch night in March at Birthdays, Dalston.

We caught up with RJ to discuss the aims of the Welcome Party and why it aims to become a flagship night for RnB & Soul. RJ explained how " My main influences come from my big brother. Used to sneak into his room back in primary school and listen to his CDs. From Musiq Soulchild to Dwele and your D’angelo’s and Erykah Badu’s. So yeah, many years later it’s fair to say the sneaking about paid off."

With British Soul and RnB looking to force its way back in to the forefront of UK Music, The Welcome Party looks to set the pace with a talented line up of acts including, Ara Harmonic, Arieleno, Jael, and Gabriel Ryder.

Soulful and versatile singer-songwriter and poet Davina Oriahki will also be bringing the vibes on the night before Boadi, who oozes the quality of a seasoned artist with clear direction and creative freedom caps off the cultured night.

So What can you expect on the 21st March? "Vibes!!! Smiles and dance moves from everybody. Artists connecting their individual audiences together. The crowd enjoying the performances and having more artists and DJs to add to their forever growing music collection."

DJs on the night include Lue;B, Rabiah and Damboss
